When Sasha worked at Vacation Bible Time this year, he was promoted from being in the dunk tank to watching the dunk tank. As he sat in a , he watched the fun at the dunk tank and all around the carnival part of Vacation Bible Time.
The first boy that came up to the dunk tank was little Matthew who wanted to know where Sasha had gotten such a nice . Sasha said it was a secret, but if Matthew came back on Friday, Sasha would tell him the secret.
Camping folding canvas chairs are a favorite of Sasha's. Not only are they versatile, but they are very easily transported. He took it on the bus on which he worked to bring kids to Vacation Bible Time. At the end of the week, he said that he would give one away to the the bus rider that brings the most visitors. So far, some of the kids have brought five and six visitors each, and it is only Tuesday night.
Looking at the great crowd of fourth through sixth graders, Sasha sees several good-sized lines of kids ready to say Bible verses to the verse hearers who are also sitting on camping folding canvas chairs. Those are the studious kids! Some of them say every verse in their book every day. That adds up to quite a few tickets!
Next, Sasha sees his mom selling brownies to hungry kids. Some of them just skip the popcorn and nachos and eat brownies all night! That booth is always surrounded with kids—and a few workers.
Oh, wow! Now that was a good aim, James! Dustin sure landed hard in the dunk tank. Some of these fourth grade boys must already be playing baseball, for they sure can throw that ball hard!
Over to the left are some kids having a great time on the hay ride. Since the church owns quite a bit of property (bumpy property, that is), the hayride is quite extensive. Of course, the bumpier it becomes, the more the kids love it! No adult with back problems will get on that, that's guaranteed! Sasha's blue camping folding chairs is becoming more and more comfortable as he watches those kids on the hayride.
Now, a sixth grade boy is trying to dunk the guy in the tank. Boy, is Sasha thankful that he is not in that tank today. It's only 65 degrees outside. That's what happens when Vacation Bible Time gets moved from the end of July to the end of June.
Well, the kids at the little shop are enjoying looking at various books, Bibles, bookmarks, pens, pencils, stickers, and small trinkets on sale there. There are even camping folding canvas chairs, but not very many! The workers are telling the kids what a great present they would make for their parents.
Over at the basketball court, some guys are competing for shooting three-pointers. Some of these fifth and sixth graders sure are tall!
Well, it's almost time to go home. Sasha folds up his camping folding canvas chair and rounds up his kids for the bus. We hope they are not too wild on the way home from all the brownies and snow cones they have consumed!
